Climate activism, activist strategies and interaction with gender and emotions of inequality
WP6 leverages expertise from political science and social movement studies. This work package focuses on the 'activist dilemma' (Feinberg, Willer, and Kovacheff 2020) and its interaction with emotions of inequality and climate emotions. The activist dilemma is the process of decision-making on whether to engage in extreme protest events. We will explore how feelings of inequality depend on gender identity and how these two further influence climate change emotions. We observe these interactions in four Citizen Expert Panels, or focus groups in Italy and Czechia.
