Ondřej Císař

Ondřej Císař is Coordinator of WP6. He is a Professor of Sociology at Charles University and also works as the editor-in-chief of Czech Sociological Review at the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague. His primary research interest is in protest, social movements, civil society, political mobilization and the future of democracy. He has been involved in several projects on political conflicts, social activism, emotions, and democratic innovations. Previously, he was an associate researcher or visiting fellow at numerous international institutions, such as Columbia University, University of California, Central European University, University of Mannheim, and Scuola Normale Superiore, Florence. He has published on social movements and political conflicts in various books and journals such as Environmental Politics, Social Movement Studies, Poetics, European Union Politics, and European Journal of Political Research.
